Strength In Numbers



Don't you hate when you come across something unexpected at an inconvenient time? No? Well, I do and it just happened to me.
So I just listened to a video from Erick Thomas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBtz7TUwkdA. Yes, I said listened to a video. I am a master multi-tasker. LOL. Now this guy is intense! Earlier in the day, a friend asked me if I ever heard of him which I replied I did. But the truth is though I heard of him, I really never listened to him. Have you ever done that? It may just be me but I can sometimes hear an entire sermon and forget what I heard by the time I get to my car. Sorry preachers. It’s not you. It’s me.


So for the first time, I listened to him and in this particular video, he spoke about challenging yourself and that for the first time in my life I wanted to actually do it. He challenged me (yes I took it personally) to do anything for 21 days straight. When I first heard it, I was thinking to myself that should be easy because I have fasted before for 30 days. But as I listened, I began to get convicted because I then had to ask myself when was the last time I fasted or did anything for 21 days to improve myself? To be honest it has been a long time. Now without going into much detail, I am going to start something today that I am going to try and repeat for 21 days. Why? Because I want to see if I am still capable of disciplined behavior that will benefit me.  Am I able to stay focused on completing something I decided to start for 21 days?
